I study Management Information Systems Engineering at Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá, and alongside it I took a Technical Certificate in Web Development at Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

I hand out the team’s work, review and approve the pull requests, and oversee what goes to production.
I sit with clients to gather requirements, run technical alignment, say whether something is feasible at code level, and set the timelines.
I led the refactor of a production Next.js application: I migrated it to a Turborepo monorepo and contributed to optimizations that brought cloud infrastructure cost down.
Backend microservices: Go with gRPC, Java with Quarkus and C# with .NET.

Seven years before this I was already debugging against a stopwatch

I competed three times representing Panama: STEAM Robotics Olympics 2017, WRO Regular B 2019 in Hungary, and RoboCupJunior 2023 in France. In 2023 we won the national and, in the RescueLine SuperTeam category, placed second in the world alongside the team from Japan.

What stayed with me is not the placing. SuperTeam works like this: you are assigned an ally from another country on the day of the competition, and both robots have to solve the course together. You do not choose who you work with, nothing was agreed in advance, and you have a few hours to understand the design of someone you share no language with and decide which part of yours gives way. It was the first time I worked against an interface I did not design, on a deadline that would not move. It is the same skill I use now reading a client ERP.
